Photo Ceramic

What is a Photo Ceramic?

A photo ceramic is a high-quality porcelain plaque that displays a photograph of your loved one.
Fired at high temperatures, these ceramics are incredibly durable, resistant to fading,
weather, and time, making them ideal for the headstone.

Providing a beautiful way to preserve and cherish the memory of your loved one,
keeping their image close and visible for generations to come.

Etching or Laser Engraving

When a headstone requires a more detailed image, etching or engraving is used.

While engraving lettering into a stone goes roughly 3-4mm into the surface, etching or laser merely skims off the polished surface creating a soft but high contrast on the stone. This, allowing for finer details.

Hand Engraving

Hand engraved work is perfect for those who are looking
for that ‘one-of-a-kind’ look,
this requires an artistic skill held by few.

This must be done on black granite to ensure visibility.

Using photographs supplied - the image is etched into the surface using a laser etching machine.

Shadow Blasting

Shadow Blasting is the art of removing the polished layer
of stone to create the desired pattern / shape.

Selecting a piece of artwork specific
to your loved one
to create an outstanding finish.

This is different from standard artwork that is
sand blasted centimeters into the granite.
